About the Conductor
Ben Luedcke has a Bachelor of Music from UW Madison, and is currently teaching voice and taking credits at UW Madison furthering his musical and language education.
Ben sings in UW Chorale and UW Madrigals under the direction of Dr. Bruce Gladstone. Ben is a worship leader singing and playing guitar at The Crossing, and is the Director of Music at Lake Edge United Church of Christ in Monona where he sings and plays piano in service, and directs both the Lake Edge Choir and the contemporary Praise Band. Ben conducts UW Men's Choir, an auditioned honors choir open to students and community members that rehearses Thursday evenings during the semester. Men's Choir does a joint concert with Half and Half, a male quartet Ben sings baritone in and directs. Ben is the conductor of Madison Summer Choir, a mixed 80 voice auditioned choir open to students and community members that rehearses Mondays and Tuesdays starting in June with a concert in July, and performs both a cappella and orchestral works. Ben sings in and directs a mixed voice Early Music Quintet that opens for Choral Arts at their biannual concerts.
