"After silence, that which comes closest to expressing the inexpressible is music."
- Aldous Huxley, Music at Night

from our director...

Ben LuedckeMy name is Ben Luedcke and I am the new director of the Chorale Arts Society Chorale. I believe music is amazing as I believe a skilled musician must allow themselves to think and feel at the same time. Additionally, music and people are my two greatest passions; as a result, choral music’s social, cooperative, and collaborative aspect inspires and rejuvenates my soul. The notion of ‘art in time’ amazes me; music must be in the moment, thus one can feel the power and awesomeness that it is to rehearse and share live music making with others.

I graduated from UW in May of 07 with a BM in Music Education. I now teach voice and I am part time at UW studying piano and choral literature. I have been in Madison now for eight years and in that time I have been in three different chamber ensembles, two different larger choirs, toured with UW Concert Choir in April 2006, and helped form a men’s college a cappella group.
