The Choral Arts Society and Chorale was founded by renowned conductor Rod Witte following his retirement from Madison's Lafollette High School, and continues to flourish in its tenth year of performing and supporting choral music in the Madison area. The choir performs two concerts per year, one in the spring and one during the holidays, in addition to smaller concerts for churches, retirement communities, and other audiences throughout the area. The Choral Arts Society and Chorale is not affiliated with any church or other group, but is a self-sufficient, nonprofit, just-for-fun performing organization. The choir welcomes experienced singers from any background and doesn't require an audition for membership.
